Mofongo: Mashed fried plantains mixed with garlic and pieces of chicken or pork.

Sancocho: Soup with different meats and vegetables.

Batida de lechoza: Also a Dominican fruit shake with papaya, milk, vanilla, ice and sugar.

    Most of these food items can be found at any Dominican Restaurant. You might want to try Adrian Tropical on the Malecón or El Conuco in Gazcue. You can find their addresses and contact info in the dr1guide directory

    Its good to read about these things of intrest to me I Do enjoy visiting and to know the cultur of the country and people the foods are good and delious I have tried a few when I was in the country and I want to go back soon.
